2025 Light-A-Life Event

The Community Hospice Light-A-Life program is a heartwarming tradition for community members to memorialize a loved one during the holiday season.

This year’s tree lighting ceremony will be held in-person on Saturday, December 6, 2025, beginning at 4pm at The Community Hospice 295 Valley View Blvd, Rensselaer, and streamed right here after the event.

Folklore has it that a cardinal represents a loved one who has passed, and when you see it, it means they are visiting you. They usually show up when you most need them or miss them, and they also make an appearance during times of celebration as well as despair to let you know they will always be there.

Tags and ornaments will be shipped separately.

We will be mailing ornaments bi-weekly beginning November 7th.
For your loved ones name to be included in the Program, tag orders need to be received by December 1st.
All tag orders received by November 16th will be received in homes by December 6th event.
All tag orders received after November 16th will be received after the December 6th event.
